Hailey is my first dog purchased as a show prospect and she had the attitude to match! She loved the limelight, getting her first 5 point major at 8 months when I didn’t even want to walk in the ring. Hailey ended her show career with 10 points, including both majors. Sadly, Hailey failed her OFA elbows, but that didn't slow her down. While Hailey loved the show ring, she didn’t enjoy much of anything else. After all, since she is all that, why would she do anything she didn’t want to? Upon her retirement from dog events, my mom mentioned she was ready for a dog again and after much soul searching, the bittersweet decision was made. Hailey lived out her life with my Mom, being the queen of her household. We lost Hailey just after in 13th birthday to cancer. Hailey taught me many lessons, maybe the most important being that just because things don't work out as you plan, there is still something to learn from the process.
